About this CD

 

One day, a friend of mine was playing through Intermezzo, Op. 118, No. 2 on the piano. As I looked over her shoulder, I realized that not only could this intermezzo be played on the harp, it would sound amazing! So the journey began. In fact, the time spent working on this project has been the most musically rewarding of my career. Some of the pieces lend themselves to the harp more easily than others, but in every piece the harp is able to translate the passion, beauty, and mastery of one of our greatest composers: Johannes Brahms.

 

Of course, the question posed here can never be fully answered. It must always remain a part of our imagination… What if Brahms wrote for harp?
